Sweet and Spicy Pecans

A tasty Thanksgiving treat with a kick


1/2 cup sugar

1 1/2 tsp salt

1 1/2 tsp chilli powder

1/2 tsp cinnamon

Pinch cayenne

1 egg white

2 cups pecan halves


  1. Preheat oven to 300 F and spray nonstick baking sheet with spray
  2. Mix sugar and spices together
  3. Beat the egg white in a large bowl and toss in the pecans and coat
  4. Sprinkle with the spice mixture and evenly coat
  5. Place the pecans one by one on the baking sheet, making sure they are separate
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes and cool for 5 minutes
  7. Transfer to another baking sheet to cool completely

Note: You can tell that I didn’t do a good job coating them separate so they are a little ugly. They taste good though!
